true roscco but they have the ability to give 14 year sentance for rape for adults and that should include those over 16.

if your old enough to legally have sex then your old enough to understand the consequences and repurcussions of sexual crimes.

In fact IMO ALL serious crimes for those over the age of criminal responsibility (age 10) should carry the adult sentance unless extreme extenuating circumstances.

Yes i know those sentanced 14 years rarely serve that but more use should be used of the powers to put mandatory minimum sentancing upto the full 14 years if needs be.

Often sentances would be more acceptable IF we didn't know that at most they serve half with good behaviour, and more often are out on take in 1/3 of the time.

Personally i think a sentance should be served in FULL and if you dont behave inside the sentence goes up.

Vai knowledge of someone close to me, good behaviour is RUBBISH, couldn't have been less well behaved, yet was out on tag in 5 months of an 18 month sentance?

 

Sadly after the first couple of beatings they will be segregated for thier own protection.

Thier human rights to be free from persecution, violence etc pathetic how they take the rights of the convicted rapist above the rights of the victim to not be raped and the closure that real justice would help give.

A female friend of mine recently ended up having her ex locked up after her ex went psycho and beat another bloke up for looking at her (despite being split up). He then went at cops with a knife when they came for him.

Got 8 months (due to previous) and is now in a Cat C wing and has his own cell, ensuite FFS, phone in room, access to sky TV, 1 hour playstaion3 access a day if good, and good food!! Holiday camp FFS!!

Its supposed to be punnishment!!

 

i think the only way would be castration............ not the chemical way thats far too humane, it needs 2 bricks an elastic band and a heffer of a female prison guard on the blob to carry it out, imo much more effective then being locked up

Young offenders institutes are not like big adult prisons,even some of the adult prisons are holiday camps,they will probably have there own room with tvs they will be allowed games consoles ect
They shouldnt get let out early as people who commit violent crimes are not allowed to be considered for tag releases ect

 

when people come from a religious background that have no respect for women this is the result, i suppose it could have been worse , they could have stoned her afterwards

 

if they serve their time then fair enough, sentaced etc and job done

if they start to get out in 3 months or soem shit then it's going to be an issue

if crims stayed locked up for their full terms perhaps there wouldn't be so many rimes being commited, but i don't think the government understands that as their human rights might be offended

 

nothing you give them will what that poor girl went through, but i would want them in jail, for a long time, and let all the people in side know why they air there, AND for the jail staff to leave the room!

 

Sex offenders in adult prisons are in a separate section so that wont happen,they also go for there food before or after the the other prisoners,not sure about young offenders intitutes
