if its on the logbook its a cat c and its already had its vic check, it will say vic#s on blah blah

doesnt make much differnece unless your selling cars couple grand upwards in general, i still get the same for my catc d cars as i do hpi clear ones, but there normally betwwen 1 and 2k

depends on the repair mate, cat d or c properly repaired normally can be worth about 75% of there normal value. text the reg too 83600, that will tell you what category write off it is.. but if it doesn't say anything I'd be wary, it may still be a write off that shouldnt be on the road

but with a vic check they are worth about normal money, but in my opinion sometimes harder to sell

as utternutter said it is a cat c, cat d's do not need a vic.

depends what car it is mate, all i sell our cat c and cat d cars but i dont price on the market value i price what it costs me plus a bit of profit.

i wouldnt say cat c's are worth as much as 'normal' cars

the issue is more what you gonna do if some twat hits it
they will pay out sod all, thats the major problem with write offs

i had an escort catC'd for a headlamp!! if it gets hit by someone the owner will get a 1'er tops

also had an xr2i paid out on 1800 but would have been bid £300 if they checked beforehand to find out it was a write off but they didnt did after tho and said no i couldnt argue for 2 grand on account of this

ive had cat c;'s damaged before and i have been paid out standard money by the insurance company, so has a good pal of mine who has over 100 mondeos out as taxis which are mainly damaged repaired, and imagine how many insurance claims he has to deal with, again no issues with payouts, he has acutally got more from the insurance company then the car cost him quite a few times lately
