woodwork is my nickname for my 15 year old neice ,, who as it happens subscribes to per/ford and fast ford ,, and shes no tomboy either ,,just being near me means you have to love cosworths

 

The trouble is the youth have turned to saxo's, corsa's etc..... because their cheap, not because they are potential sport cars. So instead they stick a great big FO stupid lookin bodykit, big alloys, neons and a 7 foot spoiler on the back, and cruise up and down sea fronts at 30mph because their 1.0 engine won't handle anymore with 4 people in the car

 

they need more education obviously sort them out nath

Its just a fact you cant IMAGINE a car to be faster than what youve experienced, so if theyve never been in one, they wont get it, like Smidsy above said.

Even when people kind of understand how fast its meant to be, take em out and they suddenly realise its a LOT faster than they imagined (as they shit themselfs )

i thought i knew what a fast car felt like. until i went out in a 200hp S2. then same happened again when i went out in a 400hp 3dr!

am sure the lads at school are the same. just be thankful your a step ahead of them!

Most of them can only manage to afford to insure a saxo thats why, and besides they do good finance on newer cars these days aswell!

 

hmm lets be in debt for 5yrs to own a maxo, OR let's be in debt for 7 when we buy a cossie and it needs a re-build

seriously tho, i'd leave em too it, you'll be the boy with the best car around pasting their saxos n corsas

 

Anth. all you need to do is take the magazines with proof in, 2 fiesta turbo's over 178mph, several cossie's over 190, one over 200mph!! show them the proof and say, can you PROVE any saxo is quicker than these cars??


Think we need to arrange a passionford meet at Anth's school, get all the cossie and rs turbo boys down there, then invite some saxo's to play !!!

TOP LAD though makes a nice change from the fast and the furious generation thinking saxo's and all other bodykitted cars can all pull 9 second 1/4 miles

 

they say 140mph on the clocks so they must do that... if you add a big exhaust then obviously the saxos will beat that!!
