Default Mondeo ST TDCi heated drivers seat problem

Hi, i have a 05 Mondeo ST TDCi as my daily driver and the drivers heated seat wont work, the passengers works fine when you turn it up and down but if you try and heat the drivers up it wont work.
Its all of a sudden stopped working.
Although the lights come up on the button on the dash

Any help will be much appreciated.
Many thanks DaN

Default drivers heated seat

Hi Dan, had the same problem with my seat, not a quick fix, but is repairable. The problem could be the heater mat itsself or broken wires, were they pass through the foam into the frame, Mine was broken wires and the area was all black were they had shorted. What you need to do is disconnect the battery and DO NOT RECONNECT until the seat is refitted and bolted down again, otherwise the airbag light will come on, and stay on unless reset by ford. unbolt seat, remove seatbelt bolt, disconnect plugs under seat, remove seat, now the tricky bit,you may be able to repair wires from underneath the seat with the foam still attached to the seator you have to unclip the leather from around the seat base and peel it back it will now expose the heater mat, also there is a pin at the back near the reclining you will have to pull the mat away from the foam, this may rip the foam dont worry as you will need to glue it back together later. once done repair wires with either solder repair or inline crimps, glue mat down, reassemble, and finally reconnect battery once seat bolted in, hopefully heated seat will work. any probs or any more info let me know
