Fiesta ST Cosworth inlet?
I'm getting a fiesta ST next month hopefully and plan on putting the 190ps kit on it from pumaspeed, i then would like to put the cosworth inlet manifold on it but i've heard the engine loses torque after fitting this.. why is this?
thanx!

Shorter runners will improve VE (and hence torque) at higher engine speeds, at the expense of lower engine speeds. So the torque peak is probably moved higher and spread wider. You need to look at the area under the curve, not peak figures.
I have a cosworth inlet on mine and wouldn't recommend one without further mods. I got mine cheap and wanted to find out for myself - wish I hadn't bothered!
My mate works for ford and they tested the cosworth inlet for the caterham engines and decided against them due to the loss of torque.
