optimax or super unleaded they burn the cleanest reducing a build up crap in your engine

4 star no longer exists as we know it. it was leaded and then the gouvrnment went all geenpeace on us and if you have old cars like all of our customers your fucked. The valves become coked and it runs like a cunt. But i havnt yet expirienced a cossie on unleaded but i know that optimax and all the others still produced bag performance on old cars naturally aspirated.
Sorry for the lecture

the s2 was developed to be used with leaded, but obviously optimax is the way nowadays

unfortunatly there is no alternative. You can get lead substitues to use with unleaded which on older cars are the best way around it.
Hope that helps guys

You can still get proper leaded 4 star in Nottingham but its a Ł1 a litre makes mine run very nice, but failing this i use super unleaded with no problems.

Mine used to run on 4 star, had the hardened valve seats fitted at engine rebuild time to allow unleaded running, then optimax came out & tried it. Found no difference whatsoever in the running or economy..& the fuel computer range stopped working with optimax in. Went back to unleaded, & everything if fine again.

standard rst's can run both unleaded or optimax. all rst's running higher boosts like 16 psi have to use high RON fuels like optimax!
