No more pics at the moment, to be honest we have`nt done anything since november except source / repair / replace parts and have stuff shotblasted and re-painted or powdercoated. So the rebuild starts this weekend. Took a long time to sort the loom out but thats sorted now.

Yes it is a genuine Series 1, The story goes that the original owner from new saw the Mk4 escort which was available then in mercury grey and said he wanted one of these but in that colour. So off it went back to ford for a strip down and re-spray. I have to say they did a total job too, complete down to the shell not just exterior, the insides of the doors, underneath the soundproofing, bulkhead etc. It might have been easier to have ordered one from the production line before they assembled it.

The shell is in excellent condition and all the parts are new to be re-fitted, had to "borrow" a few parts of my white S1 but apart from that it`s looking good - hopefully by the end of Feb it should be at least reassembled if not running too.
