Default flat out misfire on saff

the other day i was a bit bored and i haven't really gone mad in the ol saff for a little while as xmas and bad weather has got in the way,

so its a nice clear coldish dry day, and off i set for a little blat, i gets on a very long road near me that is often clear and open the old girl up, i took her up to just under 6k in 5th and she is purring like a pussy cat!!!

on the return leg , i enter the road from the slip road with some blue superbike sitting on my back bumper, so i decides to see who has the bigger balls, and nailed the fooker , now i know my rev limit was set to 7800 when it was set up, so am happily hitting the limiter going through the box with the biker still hanging on to my coat tails!!!!

we gets over the 130 mark and i see him lay down on his tank and realise he is up for it massivly, so i keeps my toe in hard until i am pulling just over 7k in 5th when all of a sudden my old girl starts this little misfire thing and will not rev any harder, expecting a full meltdown approaching i check my mirror and i am just starting to pull on the bike( he is now about 40ft behind me as opposed to sitting on my bumper) and the gap is definatly increasing , so i indicate to the bloke that all is not well and pull into the inside whilst slowly lifting, he comes past me very slowly (fook me them bikes are loud) i slow right down and all seems well so i get back into the groove and go after the biker for a bit more fun!

now the thing is, i got home whipped the plugs out, all looks cool, my a/f meter says all was well, egt's were fine, all the sensors were reading good....so what the fook happened????????

i then took it back down the road the next day and slowly took it up to the limiter in 4th and no missfire

so what the fook happened

I have had a similar problem recently, turned out to be two NGK 9 plugs that were duff, only 800 miles old too

Creeping up the revs slowly was ok, nailing it wasn't. I guess the boost level is lower is you accelerate slowly, whereas it hits the ceiling when you floor it, and the sparks were too weak to cope.
