Can any one help, what is the differance between them and does anyone
have any pics as i have bought a 200 block long studded built by A1 Rallysport with 900 miles on it.It was out of a 2wd saph and i am fitting it into my 4wd saph and a mate of mine said the pump and pickup pipe are different which i no is correct. The problem i have is my old engine the oil pump and pickup pipe look the same but he just make shore can anyone help.

The pumps are different and so are the oil pickup pipes used in both types, you can bolt either pump to the block, but you must use a 2wd pickup with a 2wd pump and a 4x4 pickup with a 4x4 pump (they aren't physically interchangeable, the feed to the oil spray bar is in different locations on each setup). As to whether you can use a 2wd pump/pickup with a 4x4 sump, i'm not sure on that one, easiest option is to source a 4x4 pump + pickup, job done
Thanks wes i phoned around and pj motorsport told me 4b pumps have 5 nuts on the top and 2wd has 3 nuts that is the only way you can tell when they are fitted.thanks anyway mate
