Pls help, I got my CD stuck in the changer - I put it in and the machine said it was loading, but it seems it's slipped somewhere between the changers. I don't know if now the machine is ruined or if there's any way to retrieve it

I was thinking of changing out the unit, is it easily done? I know I'd need a DIN2 stereo in there in it's place.

Can anyone help me pls?

I managed to fix it, a car stereo shop took the unit out and got the CD out!

I have had the same problem a couple times.
The way I do it is trying to switch on and off the SONY unit, which I have.
Once I have had to turn it on and off like 7 times, also trying to switch between SOURCEs (radio etc.), try eject and load buttons.

I cannot believe how crappy these Sony units are. I love my MK3 (I guess if 2007 Jan) Mondeo, but this is the only item I hate. Does not read burnt CD-s properly etc....

i have a double din with a autochanger and have a ebay for one unless you want this !

 

To be honest, I am not "passionate" to say the least on Audio Equipment.
I was just wondering if there is a solution to fix the current unit (fits well the dash, otherwise sounds good etc.) Maybe a different reading head? CD changer internal parts? )
