If anyones been to watch the D1 drifting champoinships theydve seen these

Sounds sad as fuck but when you see a car in a full-on long broadside drift with the headlights going off like that it looks fuckin quality Certainly made the crowds go mad...

Always wondered where they got em from...

Mike Rainbird actually had them on his saff about six years ago.

Picture this.

My brother's in his saff in a huge convoy of cossies at night, so pulls out to overtake the whole line on the dual carraigeway. Accelerates up to highly illegal speeds, then backs off, until.................................. fuck, coppers come racing up behind us, lights going.

Brother slows right down, absolutely bricking himself as he knows he was at ban speed, until we turn and look, and it's Rainbird flying past with a cheery wave.

FPMSL Reason enough to get one IMO, got getting fuckers out the way! (Better than MOVER OVER written backwards in foot high red capital letters i had on the windscreen of my old Silver R5GTT about 5 years ago ). I want a set of the mondeo now too as well as the GTR, pisses me RIGHT off when noone moves over so my piece of shit runaround can get thru

Honestly never seen them before going to D1, and looked well impressive when you got mental S15s facing the crowd going very sideways with the lights going like that.
Its one of them things that only is good as its different and people think "WTF", like flamers used to be, and before that, back in the 90s, dumpvalves

 

i thought they have strobe liek pace car lighting in the drift cars rather than just alternate flashing lights?

 

WTF is strobe like pace lighting?

All the Option Drift lot (the only ones with the lights) all had lights that when they were doing whatever (holding a button i guess) they flashed alternatly like pig cars etc

missed a vital word.... car

as in pace/safety car..... im sure ive seen them with a bright white additional flashing light in the head lights on the drift cars.

hmmm. although in light of the day I may be getting confused with japanses touring cars??? not sure but ive def seen them on NON-pace cars.
