There was saxo on the rollers on friday, with one of these cheap fuel pressure regs with a gauge.
The fp was set to 3 bar, but later went all over the place even at a steady state between 2 and 8 bar.
The cheap skate owner didn't want to spend good money so just adds to the warning given by msd and others.
The reg is described as billet alloy but is in fact cast and not billet at all, was about £20 from begay.

It was my mates Race Saxo for the stock hatch championship and all he wanted to do was get a pressure reg that would last him for the mapping session, it lasted 30 mins lol like said it was on 3 bar then creeped upto 8 bar at one point.
I did warn him but he didnt listen.

I've got about 3-4 of these i've took off customers cars and jucked in with the scrap bin.

Crazy though, I can buy them in at £9 each! how the hell do they make money making them for that!

 

Amazes me too how they cam make anything for the price.

cheap materials and paying some kid 1p a week to make them is probably how

problem with things like that is even the gauges arnt even accurate, like with paint spraying compare a shit regulator to a decent make and its amazing the difference!!
