What car for sub 2k?
My bro is wanting a new car and was thinking of buying this....
http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1399367.htm
Low and behold it was sold so he was gutted, what other cars would PFer's suggest? Load space is a must (no 4 doors) More poke the better aswell, and be newer than a 99plate.
Any suggestions???
Thanks in advance

Doesn't have to be an estate but as he does alot of fishing he needs some space in the back, will have a look at whats suggested.

a 2001 vauxhaull with 95k on it for 2k, no thank you
Im sure he could find a better deal than that anyway.
What about MG ZS? they do a V6 180bhp, easily get one for 2k but not sure if theres enough space.
I would not buy 100k cars unless its a bloody good one.

Ditto.
2k is the max he wants to spend really, tried making him look at Civic Vti Aerodecks but he's not keen on the look of them.

FYI beemers arent good load luggers, the rear shocks/mounts etc are not as robust as you might thinkMUCH better off with a Mondeo for that money IMO100k is nothing to a Mondeo DervAnd dont believe the bullshit about bmw's doing starship miles and not need maintenance, the ancilliaries wear just as quickly as other makes, ie bushes, mechanical and electric pumps, shock absorbers etc
