Default Diffs and clutch

What diffs and clutch would be recomended for a 500-550bhp 4x4 saph ?

Would i get away with an uprated front diff and 2wd rear ?

Cheers

I'd go for a Quaife Thick wall casing with the strengthening plate & Quaife ATB diff on the front. For the rear I'd use a Quaife ATB in an 2wd casing.

gripper plated 7.5" rear diff

quaife thick wall case and atb front diff

this is what wenny used for the last year or so on his mk3 escort 4x4 cossie with hundreds of launches and it proved reliable, although he is lighter than a 4x4 saff remember,

Clutch you want a tilton twin plate, with a centrepush hydraulic conversion. Rear diff and shafts upgrade to 7.5" 2wd size, with a gripper LSD. Front you want an open diff for the road with a thickwall casing and steel sandwich plate. Gearbox needs to be a Bara straightcut for that sort of power.

it will be mainly a wkend car but will prob see track a few times.

as for how it wil be driven, not 100percent yet as im halfway thro the build. more than likely pretty hard tho.

already got a bara box thanx to YUM.

budget would be as cheap as poss ( i no thats the wrong answer lol) as i want to get it on the road this year. next year will be the saving for better stuff.

at the mo its on standard diffs, front has strengthening plate, but with the current 400bhp its already whining and starting to shit itself.

cheers
