my boyfriend is letting me have his escort rs turbo but im finding it hard to get insured coz im only 20.

does any one have recommend anywhere??

depending on if youve got any NCB or not your going to pay between £1000 and £3000
To be honest you would prob be best trying www.confused.com first to give you an idea of the sort of prices you will be paying...
Also a lot of specialist insurers (ie dominion,HIC, Greenlight etc) wont insure you because your not 21

cheers hun i know it wont be cheap im 21 in june so it may be best to wait i had a quote for £2200 for zenith. would it be cheaper maybe to get traders insurance?

 

you wont find anyone that will insure you on a traders policy at your age unfortunately.
The insurance will come down considerably in june if your 21 so you would be much better waiting till then IMO...
why dont you run a quote, but change your details as if you were 21 already.. that way you will get an idea of what you will be paying in june.

Why not have you boyfriend insure it on a classic policy and you be a named driver, not totally honest but may do for six month till your 21.

Make it a classic car policy when you do as the price will be sooooo low, ok you'll earn no NCD but when you save ££££££ who needs the no claims. plus in a couple of years when you go to a normal policy (if you do), you'll be older with more experience and no accidents so will get decent prices anyway and can build them up then.

Either way, you'll pay out ££££ being so young with such little experience on an RS turbo, but then it's worth it

 

Well i have had traders for years never had and accidents, no convictions and im 26 and im still looking at stupid prices when i rang for some quotes as i have not got any no claims becouse of my traders Think i will stick with my traders!!!
