If you go for bara dont get the uprated shaft as these seem to be weaker than the standard size shaft and shear off.

hi.... me feel the same way, I have nothing clear because there are many opinions, from what I read, say FIXIT is the best option for a car that is not racing, and who also use it in the street, but within FIXIT also ..... there are several options to see if we all left doubts among a greeting ....

I have run Dome,R&D and Bara boxes the R&D is not a nice box atal to use on the road unless you are drving hard then it comes into its own. The Bara box is a little loud but more than livable for a daily use car. The Dome semi straight cut was a nice useable box aswell had a little whine to it but i changed it when i went over 450 bhp.

What power/torque are you going to be running as i have been running (well loosely speaking) the bara box for 2 years and the big week point is the standard main shaft as i have smashed 2 to bits the second one split the gear box casing all the way round lol i have also broken the input shaft, very good gear box in low boost, but in high boost ever time i have lauched i have broken it . My current set up does produce very high talk low down. Bara is a cracking bloke to deal with, but there are limitations on any gear kit designed to go into the ford casing. This may not be the best thing to post ,as at present the box is being rebuilt and then i am selling it.

all boxes have there bad and good points... I think R&D have become a bit difficult for aftersales.... And just to let you know, one of the R&D's we have in Malta was no longer used as now he's using an SQS transmission on the escos.

LUDDE dog dox seems to be interested, speak to MIke he'll give you some feed back. as i think he had to run on his escort, and price wise is quite good

I am not an expert but I read a lot, and I think for everyday use FIXIT Ideally, they also have different relationships to see if anyone has mounted and gives us his opinion

I've driven with Fix-it for many years, and is pleaced with it. No problems so fare, but I know someone who has broken it. But whatever brand you buy, there's always someone who's got problems with it.

Yes it's alright that it works in some races, but people wants to know if anybody have driven with the gearbox for maybe a couple of years. Not in one drag..

You have told earlier that people from Norway and Sweden have bought this gearbox. There has been, and still is, threads both in Norway and Sweden about the gearbox, but nobody knows nothing about them..
The only one I know about, is one in Sweden who broke it.. But everything will break with the right/wrong driving

Dear MNT005 if you look a bit aroung the Halfar Race way you can notice a few things, There are 3 Bara/mullit boxes there and one of them, it was and still racing for 2 years now with very hard lounches and I am refering to the MNT004 escort cosworth and it's not noisey at all and you can drive it around Malta how much you like. IN MALTA THE ROADS ARE NOT ALL BAD!!!!!! ( for that guy from the midlands) The R&D box is very noisey and maybe is a bit better than the bara but it's more expensive as well. As a guy said it's for sale from Chris ( Kalanc). The fixit box is very hard to get hold on and as we tried to buy it but after 6 months still we didn't receive nothing so I say that the company is not to trust, Chris Kalanc bought it as well and he was riped!!! Now I am curious about the opplinger Boxes and would like to see somebody over the DRag strip with the quarter mile drag racing glue lounching it hard to see what it offers!!!

Why not get a skyline box and modd it.cheap to buy and take a lot of punishment.

if your lucky it comes with upgraded gearkit (mine did,400 £ from a breaker who didnt check).
