Longer gear ratio

Well as much as i like driving my little xr2i with 130hp engine i find the gb a bit short at the end. Is there any other gb i can use to make the 5th gear a bit longer? So that i don't have 3k rpm if i drive 120km/h

try a diesel gearbox, Im sure they will have a longer 5th gear. may upset your acceleration thoguh with the different ratio's

Would think so yes. ANd thats not what i want.

Just fit the 5th gear to your existing box? Although the difference would be slight/fuck all, I would think.

id put the dieasel 5th into your box

or if you can find a box with bigger cogs than yours (maybe the mk4 escort 1.4cvh) use 1st to 4th from that then 5th and the final drive from the dieasel.

not sure if that would work or not, just need to find a site that has the ratios on it
