I dont know if anyone on here was aware, but in Chelmsford on the 20th December a 22year old man Adam Passfield went missing after a night out in Chelmsford.

Up until today there has been no leads or information as to where he was, apart from CCTV footage showing him at approx 2am in the town.

Today a body has been found in the River Chelmer...The body hasn't been unidentified as of yet, and i really hope it's not that of Adam.

There was a facebook group set up to get his picture out there for everyone to know, this group now has over 10,000 Friends, Family, and strangers supporting the search for him.

I have posted this on here just to remind everyone that when out celebrating new years eve to please take care and make sure everyone you know or are with gets home safely, so we dont hear of a repeat of the above.

I really hope this isn't Adam....

And if it isn't my thoughts go out to the family and friends of who the person is!

oddly enough.. almost EXACTLY the same thing happened here in Bath

kiddy called Casper Flagg... he too went missing at about 2am from a nightclub over xmas period. and was discovered couple of weeks later in the river....

 

Happens a lot, I used to go to the Warehouse in Doncaster and a lad did the same there in the canal

 

Why do people insist on taking shortcuts home especially when drunk!?? Wouldn't personally want to go anywhere near water when I'd had a drink.... the Thames will probably be full of bodies tomorrow.

 

i fell in a river pissed up a few years ago,good job it was only 2foot deep like,just got some wet kecks.

Thats very sad, I'd actually just been reading about him in the Essex Chronicle whilst gettin me lunch in M&S.

 

Unfortunately the river chelmer runs straight through the middle of the town! Around the river is .... Lloyds, Yates, Que Pasa, Edwards, Chicago's and more...the river is so close to all these places! I dont know what section of the River it was, all the article says is near the meadows shopping centre, but the river is on both sides, so could have been the bar's side or the park side...

From the comments and messages on the facebook page, he is going to be sorely missed...and was a very popular lad. Just keep hoping that it isn't him but its too coincidental with the CCTV footage of his last movements and now a body being found

When I used to live at Conisborough I used to get out of the taxi at the petrol station to get some cigs and walk home past the castle but one night I fell in the moat...luckily it's not got any water in just rocks and mud. Woke up at the bottom covered in shit with a swollen ankle but it's so easy done...get a bit of a wobble and you're gone

Best thing is to get to the castle I used to have to walk down a steep hill, past a pond, over a wall, up another steep hill and I go arse over tit walking in a straight line

Yesterday I watched Psychic Detectives, about PHILIP ELLIOT, who disappeared in 2000 in bristol, foot was washed up on beach some months later, never found the rest, he was murdered though, according to psychics.
That was a shock, he was a sound person, a little bit slow, and got in with the wrong crowd, my mate for 5 years in germany.
