Default Peoples thoughts on insurance write offs?

Due to the age of alot of the old fords that we all own, at some point there is a good chance that they have been written off. Say for example an erst was written off as it was stollen only a few years old and was recovered but kept its registration would it be worth restoring. Put it this way if you had no intention of selling it on, it would stay with you till it died or was broken for bits, would it be worth restoring it to a high standard.

Any thoughts?

if its a stolen recovery or cat d ar cat c i would have no problem with buying one, if all the work was done to bring it back up to standards on the cat c there as good as any other car on the roads

there is no reason why a stolen recov car is any diffternt to any other car, most rst's have been driven like there stolen even by the owners lol

a well repaired car is usually a better car then a hpi clear car!99% of cossies/rst that are hpi clear have some sort of hidden history about them anyway

most rs cars have been bumped anyway and not on the list.
