Default Best Christmas Sale PS3 + TV Combo????

First off... Merry Christmas

I've been toying with buying a PS3 for a while, but knowing that i've not got a TV worth using it with, i've been putting it off.

Just seen an advert for Currys with a half price offer:
http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/edit...n-tv-09?deal=1

32" LCD TV for £299.00

Anybody had one? Are they any good?

Ideally i'd like to keep my total expenditure for a TV and PS3 nearer the £500 mark...

Any good deals on PS3s that people know of? Ideally with the new Call Of Duty game?

Thankyouplease

If you've got that much to spend then I can highly recommend Richer Sounds over Currys anyday.

If your going for a PS3 it has a HDMI connection you want a screen that will give the best resolution available 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels (known as 1080p). Especially as the PS3 has Blue Ray player.

i'm in exactly the same boat with the same budget i'v been toying with a 32" screen but i think i'll find it too small pretty quickly so going for 40-42" i'v just noticed on one of the posted links a nice 40" samsung screen for £399 http://www.richersounds.com/product/.../sams-le40b530

but i'v also been pointed towards a sense 42" for about the £380-400 mark cheap price but samsung internals found them on ebay already but haven't got round to searching anywhere else on the net so hopefully could bring the price down a little more, my mates got one and the picture is ace for the money and makes COD so much better than using a pissy little screen http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sense-42-Full-...#ht_1016wt_682

if £400 is a bit much sense do a 32" version but i'd deffo consider 42", the 32" is £250 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sense-SE-32UT-...item3efb29ec0e.

i'v been scouring ebay for PS3's and some have been cropping up at just under the £200 mark second hand, A1 condition though, and leaves the pennies for a better screen , or like said can get quite a few contract phones that come with PS3's but not the iphone yet

you missed a mega bargain at next in the sale!

They had a Sharp 46" LCD 1080p badboy down from 800 to 370

Sadly it took 10 mins on hotukdeals for them to sell out! Gutted myself as would have got one even though have a 50 for the front room..

Saw this on the TV this morning, I'd buy it if I was working on a budget similar to yours, looks like a cracking little TV for the money and will be more than enough for playing your PS3 on.

as with every thing in life you get what you pay for, yeah you can get cheap 1080p lcd tv's but the refresh rate is shite, and high speed games will look stuttered on the budget tv's.

Just my opinion. Jason

I've JUST bought that TV from Currys for the same price. I'm using it as my monitor now in my room until i can get an ariel in here. It's a great TV and for the price i couldn't grumble!
