These are Sapphire 4x4. How are they to fit?? that depends on how fussy you are. You can hack a hole and graft a piece of a sapphire bonnet but it looks like shite.. Best to do it by hand.

IMO it has to finished on the underside.

How did you attach the mountings on the underside of the bonnet (screws go in)?
and how come you chose to paint them blue and did not go for the black look to contrast with the grille and front splitter?
looks very nice and the workmanship is very good!

They were made from flat bar and shaped to fit the vents. Then spot welded to the underside spars and bonded to the skin of the bonnet. Didn't think the bonnet skin would like it if i welded to it as i didn't want the skin rippling with the heat. The fixing points were spot welded as can be seen on the pictures

Why Blue? just my preference i suppose

what bonding compound did you use to bond the skin to the flat bar?

what did you use to cut the bonnet, hand grinder with a small thin wheel or?

thanks kris

that focus looks brilliant, the vents are very subtle, i really like them.
if u like the bonnet scoop look ive seen people put the scoop from an izuzu trooper on sapphires and RSTs and that looked good.
