hi there, a mate of mine is having problems with his golf.

took t out the other day and it wouldnt start tryed jump starting it with jump leads but no luck then gave it a push and bump started it.

Would i be right in thinking this is the stater motor? if so does anyone know anyone in the glasgow area that fancys a homer or anyone got a ruff idea on price?

well you need to say more obvious things like is the car actually turnong over or clicking, if the cars turning over is it trying to fire

 

if the car doesnt turn over then get a pole or something solid like a hammer and wack the starter motor...try it thats how i have to start my car sometimes...it means the starter motor is knackered......so yep u can imagine im at a petty station just filled up car wont start and theres a hug cue.... so i gotta pop the bonnet, wack out my UMBRELLA and give it a couple of wacks ....then it starts up like magic!!!i just havent had a chance to change it yet
