Default Big Basterd in Kit Car :)

Is it possible to do the following to a kit car

1. Extend the height of the roll bars by having an extra section welded on (proffesionally etc) and rough ideas of cost and who in the Herts/beds area

2. Extend a steering column to give greater knee clearance by cutting and sleeving then welding with a gash cut into each end of cut column does it impact the steerinig in a negative way

3, Take the sub frame of a cobra seat and bolt directly to floor i think this is easy and safe

Id source a taller hoop, have the existing one replaced completely rather han have welds part way up the uprights personally

Wouldn't impact the steering, but not the best solution. for a small amount, fit a spacer boss, for more, remount the column be redoing the brackets and extending the bar between column and rack.

is it side or base mount? Mounting with no subframe is fine, but Id want to be attaching it to lugs welded to the chassis rails rather than an alloy floor.

Its a KIT CAR, so really anything is possible.

As long as its safe and more importantly looks "right" then its all good.

As for the roll cage, id personally remove it and make a complete new one to size, so it didnt look like an add-on. Tho I guess it depends how much you want to spend.

Im 6'4" so know how uncomfortable most cars are. Dont think ive found a car yet where everything is ergomomic the taller driver.
