RIP
Nature is the biggest weapon, no single nuclear weapon can on such a wide scale
Apparently there have been Islands that have just disapeared under water never to retun as the plate has been sunk into the earths mantle, extraordinary stuff, still very sad though

An absolute tradgedy.

I heard on the news that it is possible that the death figure could double as a consequence of the disease outbreaks that could easily follow this kind of disaster.

Really sad so many have lost their lives and family members.

Seen pics the other day of a bloke carrying a dead child....fookin got to me with having a child roughly the same age.

We don't know how lucky we really are untill something like this happens.

then again, i was watching that WW2 in colour prog on BB2 earlier and it shown the gypsie kids at the orphanage, and they was all loving it, little did they know they were just being experermented on by some bird for her PHD, soon as that was done they was killed with all the other 100s of thousands of people for no other reason apart from their race

mad horrible shit happens ALL the time on a huge scale, much more than 77k, in one way its good that it was a natural disaster instead of some evil wankers

Your not wrong steve - what was the toll for WW2? 6million? 600,000 kids alone died at Autswich(sp) in the Dr Mengele experiments *shakes head*

Lindsays Friends have just got home form Phuket. They were right in the middle of the Tsunami, but were luckily in the hotel. They went 3 days without food locked in the rooms. Suppose 3 days is nothing when ya look at all those poor people!

And they say theres a God?

360 degree macjines digging mass graves and dump trucks just pouring bodies into them on the news last night! So Sad

My mothers keeps saying its a message from god telling us to behave, one of the countries worst hit just came out of a civil war and a few others were fighting.

Really does put you in perspective when you think about it.

Don't want to come across as a doom monger guys,but just been chattin on the phone to a friend of mine out there with a charity.There expecting the true figure with disease and just the fact that they can't account for everyone because of lack of proper accurate birth documentation etc...... to be nearer 500,000 in the end!!
what truly winds me up is the government donations:-
BRITAIN=Ł15 mill
GERMANY=Ł17
FRANCE=Ł16....ETC

U.S.A.=Ł17MILL !!!!!
The richest country in the world is only sending peanuts!!! But will spend BILLIONS shooting some iraqi's up in the middle east in a war that was f**ck all to do with us and more to do with oil and a Bush personal family vendetta
Makes you think how great AMERICA really is!!!

My thoughts exactly

I was in the maldives at the end of november/early december, got back three weeks before it happened. The folks on the resort we went to were hit, but there is not material damage or injuries to anyone thankfully.

I feel for all the locals in all the countries involved, but also for everyone who is away from loved ones who may/may not have been caught, and yet, no one can tell. They were talking about burying people before fully identifying them...

In the maldives alone, there is a large population of sri-lankans and thai who are staff on the tourist islands, they are away from wife and kids for months at a time to get money to them, they must be devastated, particularly if they don't get any news...

Same here! I would love to volenteer. But, the cost of going there and living AND paying ya bills is just TOO much. Perhaps thats what money should go towards....? Instead of giving it governments who NO WAY use it all on just the AID .
