Default my rs turbo project H443HOO PICS ADDED

after selling my much loved 43k mile escort rs turbo to pay for my wedding,i went out and bort an escort diesel van to smoke about in.
soon got bored of sitting at 55mph everywhere so decided i wanted to get an orion.found a lovely burgundy red orion aka SEV and snapped it up for 1500quid.
this was in august this year, although i loved the car it was just too slow and started thinking of turboing it,but as i knew it would take a while i chose not to and decided i would just buy another rs turbo.

a friend of mine had a black rs turbo cabriolet with an engine that had only done 4k miles in it so i gave him the orion and some cash for it.

It was sprayed a few months back inside and out from white to black and paintwork is excellent.
only thing i dont like with the car is the 90 spec bumper has been chopped out and the bonnet has been badboyed(eyebrowed).

it looks ok but not my thing,i much prefer the standard look with orange indicators etc.

so anyone who would want to swap the bonnet and bumper, drop me a message lol.

when i bought the car it had a small misfire and was very flat when pulling away, ive since changed the camshaft and the car doesnt feel flat anymore but i still have the misfire on idle.
over the christmas holidays im going to whip the head off and put a new head on it using standard genuine ford head gasket etc.
as im convinced its a valve problem with the car.

further plans for the car are to paint to underside of the car and clean it up,
change bonnet and bumper,
fit my ford headlight protectors,
change the dark chrome 17 inch wolfrace rims to 7 spoke diamond cuts,
fit my rs mudflaps,
fit a black mohair roof,
and clean it up to a high standard and maybe sell just before the summer and buy a series one

ive got some good mates to lend a hand, rst cabbie and ram off here.im sure at some point over the winter all 3 of our cabbie turbos will be out in the snow with our roof down with wooly hats on

will get some pics up over the weekend peeps.

these pics are what it looked like when i bought it.
the bumper and badboy bonnet are coming off dont worry lol

now fitted 4x4 saff cosworth rims, new wiring loom, new payen headgasket, new stage 1 hybrid turbo.
car still smokes so must be either rings of a cracked head so im building another engine ready to swap into it.
the car is my daily driver for work so will have to keep using it,and then swap to another engine over a weekend.
bonnet and bumper will be for sale as i want the standard look.and new amber indicators and ford headlight protectors will be fitted once bonnet and bumper are changed

all comments welcome but please no digs about the badboy bonnet and cut out bumper lol

sorry will get the pics up very soon
progress:

well i was still using the car for work but one morning on the way to work i had smoke billowing out from behind dash board.every few days a different fuse seems to blow so ive had enough and decided to get a new loom.

ive whipped the head off, bores are in great nick (only done 4k) and no movement in pistons etc.
ive started taking old loom out which i will hopefully get finished today.
the head looks ok and valves dont seem to be bent or not closing properly.

im now hoping the misfire on idle is something to do with the loom, which obviously im now changing.anyones thoughts on this problem would be appreciated.
will get some more pics taken today and get them posted up
