Default What are the causes of hesitation on boost?

Had the turbo on for about 60 miles and it was still smoking from the oil in the exhaust, so took it for a blast to castle coombe which cleared it out, but on the way back the car started hesitating on boost, it was fine in first but hesitating in the rest of the gears so i pulled over and turned the bleed valve (which has just been replaced) right in as i had turned it out a TINY bit (0.7 bar) and it was spot on after

Just wondering what causes hesitating on boost as if its something dodgy i will get it booked straight in for a rolling road....cheers Statey

was it spluttering if it was then could be that it was blowing the spark out or not enough fuel for a couple of segestions or both?

As above, usual suspects are dodgy leads or possibly plugs, may well be fine running very low boost but if they're breaking down will misfire on boost.....if all was fine before then whip the plugs out and try a new set of leads if you have any spares.
