music editing for ring tone

mite be a dumb question but thers a song i want to use as a ring tone, BUT only want to use it from a certain point. Anyone now how i can edit it?

if you have an i phone you can edit songs in i tunes, has to be shorter than 30 seconds though, also if you update the iphone to the new software you can now buy ringtones and theres thousands of them
