No dont do it
waste of money imo,I have a really small Karcher one that I have had for about 16years.In totall it has cost me maybe £15 for the turny thing on the end of the lance. That's washing my car probably three times a week and I do motocross and so does my lad and that used to be every week.In all fairness mine is an old industrial one because my mate is an engineer for speedclean and they are karcher specialists.Everyone else I know has got through probably 4 of the b&q or whatever in a lot shorter time.I give £60 for mine all that time ago and its still mint. The realtime for the hobby washers is only about 40hrs I think.

Get what you pay for.....the own brand 30 quidders are never gonna be great! If you only want somethin that's not overly powerful to blast a bit of grime out the wheel arches a cheap one will do the job i guess but as with anythin, buy the best you can afford.

well i didnt want to spend a fortune because i wont be using it for all sorts of jobs just literally blasting the path down and using it on the motor once every other week.. i dont like to use jet washers on my car anyway because it makes shit of the paintwork!

I did notice that some of the own branded items are the same wattage as some of the more swarve named products..

As said above, get a Karcher one.

I've seen one for about £80, and it has a small hose attached so that you can "sea foam" the car. It's also great to blast grime off the patio and walls.

Never heard of jet washers "making shit of" paintwork though. I can only think your referring to the ones at tesco and whatnot, as people don't realise there is always a load of grit in the brushes and there rubbing it into there paintwork!

I got a cheapo 'Champion' pressure washer from Focus DIY nearly 10 years ago now, it still works perfectly, and it gets used almost every weekend to wash 2 cars. The pressure and water quantity flow rate is excellent, far better than any karcher or more expensive model i've used in the past, would definately recommend it if they still do them!!

Look on the Tesco website as they were doing half price Karcher pressure washers a month ago.

I took advantage and don't regret it. Great bit of kit

Iv been looking and noticed that Machinemart are selling a decent pressure washer at the moment with a shampoo attachment aswell - i definately want the snow foam attachment for whatever jetwash i decide to buy!

http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/pr...-power-washers

im assuming this means this one comes with the snowfoamy attachment?
