Been a few customs made up (usually badly!), but there never was a two door Sapphire.

 

Pretty sure there was. Just not available in the Uk

 

I thought maybe abroad because there is some strange things.I have never seen one and in the time of the Sierra I travelled to a few different countries.I just did a google search on Ford Sierra and went to images at the top of the page,there was a gold 3dr with a mk11 front end but like I say 3dr not Sapphire.If anyone finds some pics of one post em up

 

there was 1 advertised a few months ago on pistonheads i belive or even carandclassic but can remember witch , anyways it was a custom built 1 , and a pukka one at that ! not a rear doors welded up jobbie

it might have had a 3 door front doors on it, but the b pillers had all being moved back , inner sills were all re made a strengthend, rear quarters welded up useing cut down rear door skins and proper cut down glass rear 1/4 windows

its was a matenta colour if i remember rightly ! looked really special , like the 2 door mk1 / mk2 granadas saloons !

They did make a mk2 3 door but i dont think it was for this country, my mate did have one but i can't find a pic at the min.

If it was a p100 but mk11 shape the mk 1 front end would be grafted on for me.The black one that was done was 100% imo
Would anyone be tempted to do the same with this,3dr the front ? and then a sapphire rear spoiler ?
I wonder if this would look good or totally wank ?.

 

they were making 3 door sierra's for the continent right till the death, bu they are left hand drive

plenty about if you go to them forign websites that no one can understand unless they've been linked to, but they are like gumtree for spain and portugal from memory

Rich no I would say thats a sapph big door conversion but the same wheelbase,them quarter windows look like 4i items to me

I think a lot of people are confused.... assuming MK2 Sierra is a 'Saph'.


A Sapphire is the saloon version of a Sierra which was only made as a MK2, and also only made as a 4 door.

A MK2 Sierra came as a 5 door hatch in the UK and also as a 3 door hatch in the rest of the world, and never had the name 'Sapphire' on it.
