HEAT shield on saphire 4x4
any one have any pics of a heat shield for a saphire cos 4x4
can u still buy these from fords,or is there a aftermarket one avaliable, the reason is my mate keeps on snapping clutch cables and has been told that its due to not having a heat shield fitted, the heat make the plastic get hot then as it cools down grips the cable its self and in time snaps it,hes gone through 3 in 2 weeks,
any pics or help would be appreciated
thanks

yeah, side bracket by the airbox fits anyway, but need to redrill the holes in the back for the rear support.
For belt and braces, you'd ideally make a bracket to pick up on the bottom, or do like on escort and have a spacer tube and fix to the inner wing, but i've only mounted mine at the back and front on the two points and seems fine..
although i miscalculated when i drilled the back holes and got it too close to the downpipe, now it's got a small hole burnt in.. doh
Mine's in pieces at the mo, so i'll try and get some pics of the rear bracket mounting..

if anything it fits a touch closer to the top of the turbo (ie lower) compared to the std 4x4 one,
