yeah ive seen him in his 205, often puzzles me why he dosnt go in with Pat but i guess he does as he likes.. still we should miver him to do it for the blue ovals. I think the gearing would need to be changed for a max speed run but the RS200 would be the best threat to the big power sylines like rocket ronnie
theres really no point, ya not gona win, dont mean to sound negative butthe main cars have no interest as all it about is turning in as much money as possible
why should cars have tio pay money to enter aswell as quilify
and lets be honest, fords arnt the best cars at handling either
the money involved to redesign a ford to make it on par with a car thats had years of development and no expense out the factory
what chance ya really got
look when skylines first entered touring cars, they was a little bit quiker then and deffo are now!!!
sorry but its true

Yes the tarmac at brunters that day was far from ideal, but its hardly a earth shatteringly fast car is it?

Bal, think you are talking a load of tosh... sorry
Will be a great event, there will be some Fords there worth watching and even if there isn't, why should they cancel it??? I was about 100ft away from the CRD Supra doing 200mph after just 1.2 miles, barely under control whilst its entire engine coolant was coming out the back... really crap that was
and also if Fords are soooo crap at handling why did a FORD win the first years TOTB handling??

porkie my point was being it aint gonna be competative anymore and tbh dont seem the even it used to be
would you enter your car next year then ???
i know the specs but as a example
i didnt mean cancel the whole event though
., just the ford team
im not in anyway knocking anyone that does compete
, my hats off to ya
but ya not gonna win anymore

Why Bal??? Ronnie has won the event 3 years on the trot... Thats an AMAZING achievement, and he can really pedal it, awesome driver
BUT I have been in that car and its nothing off the charts. Look at its times.... nothing really MENTAL
The reason he wins is because he can drive and he gets the car to the event and it survives to be there or there abouts (most of the time) in all the events
IF Martin or Sean EVER finish their cars I think you would be VERY surprised at how competitive a 'shonky old cossie' would be. BUT getting them there will be an even harder task!
Also though the fact you to say 'you aren't going to win anymore' shows YOU don't even remotely understand the event or how Ronnie has won or what a fast cossie is really capable of

But the other side with most things is the big factory builds will always win, or the mega rich people. Joe bloggs whos saved his last 10yrs wages on a stage 4 cossie with trick diffs hasnt a hope against the big wigs.
Kind of like when max power was cool before its now known chav days. I remember the days when it was some average guy who saved his wages and made his Corrado V6 go stupidly fast and look rather cool, then it got pogressively worse, and as its popularity grew the money came in and it was skylines with $100,000,000 budgets that spoiled it.

getting them to handle is far from the problem at all , its getting them to be the 'all' rounder they need to be
b19bal,
would you enter your car next year then ???

)Thats what I think the Ford Cosworth is all about, can do silly speeds for not a lot of money, if u wanna compete with the real big boys spending big money on there skylines etc, u gotts spend big money on your Cosworth, u wanna break 200mph it gonna cost
So as far as totb 4, how many Cossie owners prepared to spend that much money to be competetive
Maybe a better competition would just be a best of the best Fords

now thats a comp i would pay to see

and lots are not ready running.
Now we on here know what cars are what and what and when cars are going to be ready (ok I dont
but most people in the know )Maybe somone on here could organise a pf best of the best, dates well in advance, held at Brunters (as most people seem to use this as there ref venue
same sorta format, ie sprints handling course, top speed
Just an idea

I wanted to say that... but I was too polite! There are a few cars on here quicker than the Rs200 accelerating and I'm pretty sure 99.999% are faster top end!
I know the point you were trying to make and I was merely pointing out you were wrong. No worries at all
Fact is though, its simply no where near quick enough for 'keeping up the star' as you say at TOTB.
Rods is though.... and I know you won't run mate and I can think of MILLIONS of reasons why you shouldn't... But I still want you to!

thats exactly the point i made on the other thread, ronnies car has never been the fastest there, on top speed, drag or handling, its just the best allrounder, driven by someone who knows how to drive.
and as i said on the other thread, ronnie told me he was probably retiring the car from events anyway, as after 3 consecutive wins he had nothing more to prove
he's going to drive a drag skyline from what i understand, but the door is open to a good allround car/driver who can score points on all 3 events, cos thats how its won!
ron is the only person to score points on each of the 3 disciplines, at each event. he won last time with a 2nd in the 1/4m, 2nd top speed and 4th /5th handling!

Great minds think alike... If Martin or Sean gets a 100% complete car to TOTB4... they will be eating Vipers for breakfast and datsuns for desert.
P.S It would really help us if you make the handling circuit tight and twisty so those pesky Skybus's and Yank Tanks have to do 3 point turns
Thanks
P.P.S I think TOTB4 is going to be awesome, everyone raising the level again, some mad mad mad cars coming I hear
Is it true you have got a big grandstand and better info screen sorted as well? hope so

Having never been to totb what sort of size is the handling circuit, ie just a sorta sprint round a few cones or round a proper track, from the clips I seen it looks just like the short sprint type thing, that surely we should be best at
Steve
Well there or there abouts lol
(seriously as it is NOW recon it Would deffo better this, the car is a lot quicker than last time it "tested" (ye ok more gas lol))
Other times are pretty similar so recon that would be the same anyway, besides nobody believes me 0-60 annyway, just no one can argue with me 1/4's well unless they gonna dis Santa Pod as well for u/s timing
But as always said will race anyone (accelleration) on any given day at a reasonable ampunt of notice, may NOT be the quickest, BUT in comparison to what mine cost to build and the amount it gets properly used on the road day in day out, I still perfectly happy with its performance

ok ok so theres ppl on here with faster cars than say Julians RS200, but do you not agree it would be a help? Its just one of those cars i think have been overlooked. Potentialy lots of power, light weight etc
Btw what does Rocket Ronnie do for a living to be able to fund that fudger
Btw what does Rocket Ronnie do for a living to be able to fund that fudger
He wont be interestead m8, shame as he has done a few things to it latley i think, going by what i heard from some of his employees.
And his a very good driver.
But will be crap on the top speed as Porkie has said.
One thing though, this car is never off the road due to any breakages or whatever
due to it having all the right bits in place.
Must admit though would love to see the jenspeed cossie there
