it would appear your diagnosis was correct. i couldnt wait till march to find out so i tried it this afternoon.

7k + in all gears didnt miss a beat pulled strong and clean till i changed gear.

no bit of a miss at 6k but stu spotted a likely cause so after aquiring a couple of bits from him its fettled.
