11NM .............. how can this be compared to a socket wrench when tightening ???

ie med tight with socket wrench or jumping on it etc ??

11 is not too exessive force. Something like a sump bolt Just nip it up then give it a 1/4 turn check

You can buy a small torque wrench from any decent motor factors for about £30 which will give you Nm or lbs f/t torque settings.

Don't mess about just buy one as you'll always need one and you can do jobs properly
