when was a nippper had a tamiya hornet etc

thought id look for a sec hand one cheap or somin to see if the rekindled flame lasts

nitro r/c cars are the way for big kids

 

i had a hornet and a black monster truck but i cant remember what it was called - it was a tamiya one though. I had a kyosho one the same shape as a hornet - that was fast!!

 

I had lot of different one

But i still have my midnight punking its a bit differnt now tho as i lowered it low profile tryes and a differnt sheel off a rc car that did wheelys

I had a Kyosho Optima Mid Custom



Used to race it but it was four wheel drive and the 2wd cars used to kick my ass

Have u seen the prices some of the REALLY early tamiyas are fetching?
Ive seen some literally in the thousands
Over the years ive had a good share of em, Grasshopper, Hotshot, Hornet, Striker, Wild One (Remember that?!), Grasshopper 2
Also had the Kyosho RS500 which one my favourite
Now got a Tamiya nitro with Audi RS4 shell

 

I had the Grasshopper 2. It was white but I painted it purple with flames using that special aerosol paint from Beatties. My mate had the Grasshopper which was yellow if I remember correctly. Great little cars! We used to have a track near us specially built for RC cars. May still be there, they used to have races on Sundays.

I remember the Escort Cossie one as I did my work experience at Beatties and remember looking at it and wanting it. Could only afford the car though and none of the radio gear

 

Theyve just rereleased the escos, thats why its still available lol

just ordered an evo 6 petrol engine car from the states should come in a few weeks
supposed to 70mph !!!!!

 

i would have a nitro but think a used batt one will be cheaper


just want a toy to have some fun with with not to much expense
