Default xr3i gearbox

Is there much of a difference between an 89 xr3i gearbox and a 1300 bonus 5 speed? (probably a really stupid question)

Dont know the exact ratio's but id expect the 1,3 to have a smaller final drive and generally closer ratios as they would'nt have as much torque as the 3i so wouldnt suit taller gearing

Try and get hold of a haynes manual and look up.
I know the 4 speed early xr3 used the 1300 gearing.
