I have a focus and when you go to start it for some reason it struggles to start....when it does eventually start it seems to make a terrible noise for about 5 seconds and then it calms down and it is perfect.....

anyone any ideas what is wrong with it......it has 25000 miles on the clock and this problem has only been happening for the last couple of months.

 

is it like a loud rattling, could be a dodgeyy belt tensioner

 

well it is abit.....but i have read somewhere that it could be running on 3 cylinders and then it settles down.......? not sure myself to be honest......i just want my car to be normal again

 

is there any management lights on

 

no......all the lights on the dashboard are off
