Default Steve MK2 XR2 Turbo project updates 30-10-09

This is my MK2 XR2 Turbo project

At the moment I'm replacing/renewing some of the panels on the XR2 to make it mint before I put in the RST engine and running gear etc. I'm also gonna make a few upgrades here and there and a few choice mods (nothing too mad) for now and it should be done sometime just after new year 2010.

Heres some pics on the project. I will post more up as my project evolves. Thanks for looking

try fit the engine and bits the engine is still the XR2 one lol

now the front all a part

now cutting the rust out and putting now inner wings on

in primed

try fit with the new front mount

the engine

modifying the bonnet hinges.
the bonnet and the bits of wood are only templates

I rolled the lips over on the front wings and i've 2K primed the inside of the wings and front panel etc...

croosmember welded and on the car and the front welded up

had to cut the chassis leg because the tie bar bracket bolt snapped

croosmember all welded up and the front sealed & stone chip

the bonnet brackets are made and welded

more soon
Thanks for looking
what do you guys think ?
