Are you a proper set up business, with insurance and taxes to pay? if so how are you making any money!

Or are you doing the odd job on a driveway etc with no extras? then £110 in your pocket for a few hours work aint bad

Deffo to cheap, why should you sell yourself short when they would have to pay the proper price elsewhere anyway

you dont want to be a busy idiot, but you don't want to be expensive, best to be earning a decent amount but a little cheaper than any rivals so you pull the work.

If you charge to little, when your quiet you will be in the shizzer as you haven't been making much in the busy periods.

I have started doing a few jobs in my spare time. I work for stagecoach so get a few drivers wanting service work done. I also recently started doing mechanical work for the bodyshop where my escort is.
I tend to charge £15 an hour. I dont take the piss with people, only charge them what the job 'should' have taken not how long it 'has' taken (im often lazy and potter on ) Also I dont mark up on parts etc, I pass on the discount I get.

People seem happy, im getting more and more work from the bodyshop so im doing something right

There are snap-on workshop discs you can get that will tell you times for jobs and all sorts of other info. that comes in handy when quoting for jobs.
