Default Why is there no water cooling going to my turbo

Hi I have just got my g reg escort rs turbo and noticed that the top hose from the rad has a small hose coming off it but it has been blanked of I take that it would have gone to the turbo but no point on the turbo to put the cooling hose to it can some one give me some help thanks

cause not all turbos are watercooled m8

must have a series 1 turbo on it, there oil cooled only

i have the holes for water cool but dont use it just oil is that bad

mines like it to,it will be ok just let it run for a bit after use so it cools down.!

on my old S2 i put a S1 turbo on it and i just blanked off the two hoses and it was fine

you don't need water cooling, but after a session you need to let the engine idle to get the turbo to cool propely otherwise you will have internal turbo damage.
series one turbos have a bigger oil capacity as they don't have water cooling, so don't suffer hot switch off the same.
use the water cooling if you can, but beware it can affect the cooling systems efficiency.

As above its fine just let it cool down to avod heat soak in the turbo, before switching off.

i always thought ford put the s2 with water pipes to the turbo to improve warm up times from stone cold?
