I need a day policy on a 1989 car for tomorrow! Help! It's nothing sporty but the day insurance companys i have tried dont cover cars that old

Obviously the issue you have is an age restriction but those insurers who offer day insurance will more than likely have either the age restriction or a minimum value.

Do you have a current insurer that offers you cover? Perhaps they would cover you for the day.

If not have you tried the normal insurance companies. Note though that most don't like to double up insurance companies.

I can't see an exception on either age or value. They may be your solution.

I used tempcover on an old car, I just had to say it was worth 1500 for some reason.

 

I always use aviva for one day insurance. normally if i'm picking up a car. pay for it online and job done. should be between 10 and 20 quid mate
