I just got this email beware do not click the link the address it sends you to does not look like its anything to with abbey. The thing is i've never banked with abbey but so one that does could fall for it.

i got loads of them on my old hotmail from all the different banks saying about online banking

You can report them to abbey directly on:

phishing@abbey.com

I forwarded one in the other day - it looked a LOT more official than that...

Even thought i consider myself very careful where my card details end up - it didn't stop someone getting nearly Ł3000 out my current account the other day

Thats not good hope you got the money back, it does look more offiicial on my email, its come out odd when i copyed and pasted it over i will forward it on.

The Abbey state that they never send their customers emails so just assume all the ones claiming to be them are bogus.

I get these every now and again, from loads of different banks that I have never banked with!

i simply dont use internet banking, not hard to pop in to a branch, and never get ripped off or detals stolen
