Default boost

i had a new recon gearbox and clutch fitted yesterday and asked to have my boost set to 12 psi by the acuator. Gearbox and clutch fine but they told me my acuator didnt have a vacum so was running at maximun which i knew was high coz that was wat did the box. My gauge used to go up to r.g bar wen the bax went so thats y i asked to have it turned down. So now they have put a vacum pipe on it and told me it would be running standard which is bout 8 or 9 psi and i need to get a bleed valve to adjust it but ive heard this are bad for erst so should i get one or can it be done by the acuator and now my gauge goes up to 1.0 bar so what psi is this thanks

used to go up to 1.5 bar but now 1.0 bar what psi is this. I have a chipped ecu pace intercooler collins -31 acuator bailys dump valve and persuming internals are standard coz no recipts to prove otherwise is it ok to handle 1.0 bar boost

1.0 bar is 14.5psi IIRC
-31 will hold 10 psi solidly, with a bleed valve 20psi is doable.
