Idiot how to guide to transfer files to an ipod
As title aint got a clue if i want to download stuff from other sources other than itunes ( worked that out )
Can some explain or point me in the direction of a how to guide. Tried google but can't make head nor tail

You need to use itunes. Open itunes, click file, then import audio. Import the music files into itunes, then plug your ipod in. It should automatically transfer the files across, if it doesn't, click your ipod device on the left hand side, and de-select the manually manage button

Unless you particularly want iTunes, avoid it. I use a small app called "YamiPod", it doesnt need to be installed, and works fine for what I need, just drag and drop files onto the application, and it sorts out the small indexing file on the ipod.
iTunes is the correct way to do it, but its big, bloated and intrusive so if all you wanna do is put your current colletion on your ipod, use yami.
