How can I add friends so that other friends cant see them. Is there a limited 'group' or something I can set up?

Its how can I add one mate who all my other mates have fell out with years ago. He lives in BVI now and it would be nice to see how he's getting on

 

I had a very similar situation - I just added him and although a couple of people grumbled about it, I just said I was being nosey.

In answer to your question I don't know if there is a way other than deleting all the comments between you and him?

 

I think you can go into settings> privacy> profile, but this may stop everyone seeing your friends list

Yeah I think i've figured it. I've just added all my regulkar pals to a 'list' then blocked that list from seeing certain things. Lots of hassle! I might just not bother!

Nothing to do with it. If I add him as normal then all my mates that hate him will have his contact details

This way it keeps it private and nobody gets upset

 

They will be able to find him by searching on facebook anyway if they know his name and what he looks like.

If he doesnt want to be found, he can set himself to hidden I believe, and then they wont see him even on your friends list I think, although Ive never needed to do anything like that myself so dont have experience of it, but im sure that is what a mate of mine did when she was having a bit of bother with people keep sending her messages.
