Selling a car it needs a mot,

it has a middle brake light in the boot a long strip about 10 inches long, but the end inch of it is cracked and hanging off, mercedes are on back order so if i use black tape to cover up the crack will it pass ?

it still fully works just will be 2 inches shorter ?

as long as it's not showing white light then yes it will pass.

 

cool thats what i was hoping, just covering up the white

gaffa tape and cable ties will fix any problem lol

If you taped it up so that the light doesnt shine through the tape that will also be ok.If its not on a car they cant fail it.

 

what the whole light as in a few strips of tape ?
