Default garage build at home

me and kerry have had our house since june last year our first ive allways wanted a big garage when i get my own home the plans went in near enough straight way and 6mths later we got started :-D its nearley 100% finished but ill put pics up in stages

june 2008 just before we moved in(not my sharran on drive lol)

the garage will start at the small wall which the garden steps up so we needed too drop the garden to the same level as it would be a little high up in garden

i cleared the old sheds trees and decking

luckly a mate works at a grab hire company so in they came with the machines they got rid of the front garden and replaced with stones so we had room for the cars and then comenced to remove 120 tonne of mud

the week end finished ready for building inspection no.1 but when i looked at the plans they had dug the footings too narrow so they had to cum back eeekk

looking to build or extend my garage at some point, but the planning dept aren't keen on my first plans, whats the size of yours going to be?

keep the pic's coming, and how did you get away with dumping all that dirt on the road and pavment, my neighbours tried to get me done for parking 3 vans out side my house only half on the pavment not blocking the whole thing!!!!!!

i thing we had to comprimise was the roof structure it should of been an apex roof with proper roof tiles but the architec fooked up thought we had the certificate to build but it was a fail certificate :-( we was half way through brick work so we had no choice to have a flat roof which i got the rubber firestone type with a 10 year guarantee

Whats the matter, your work garage not quite big enough?

That's bloody extreme that! You don't do things by half do you!

Id just like to say that the membrane on your roof is meant to be wet for its life consistancy i.e in a pond. But on a roof you are getting all year weather, especially in the summer with the expanding and contracting of the membrane. Is the membrane been laid on marine ply insulation boards? Im abit of a roofing boff...I do apologise.

How much roughly did this cost you all in if you don,t mind me asking?Just the garage, not removing the mud or block paving.

a very big garage Geoff, but i would of took it right to the limits width wise, saves having a little run at the sides.

nothing better that a garage in the house.
