are both mk5 and 6 suspension the same

 

pretty much but varies to different models but a mk5 1.6 lx is the same as a mk6 16 lx, i am sure someone will confirm this as i could be wromg as its been ages since i last touched one

 

just looking at a set of g max from a mk6 and ive got a mk5b

 

Front dampers and springs are different - the Mk5 has different spring cups and different springs and anti-rollbar droplink mountings compared to the Mk6/7

From what I gather the rears are the same on the Mk5/6/7
