it true if use a 2wd on 4x4 bottomend you'll lower the CR

as above really heard someone say that, so fought id post on here to see if its true or not, if it does is there a good and a bad said to it?

My brother in laws 3dr was rebuilt with 4x4 pistons by Harvey gibbs and runs no problems and is capable of 380 bhp and keeping it reliable.

There are differences, only slight that will affect the CR yes, these are from the head and pistons on the 4wd, I think it is the 4wd has a smaller volume in the chamber, but not sure if it is that by any means.
The advantage to higher CR is better off boost power, but limits on boost amount that can be run, compared with a lower CR engine, which will be worse off boost but can have ultimately more boost added.
380 is childs play on std CR, no need to lower for this at all.
