There are differences, only slight that will affect the CR yes, these are from the head and pistons on the 4wd, I think it is the 4wd has a smaller volume in the chamber, but not sure if it is that by any means.
The advantage to higher CR is better off boost power, but limits on boost amount that can be run, compared with a lower CR engine, which will be worse off boost but can have ultimately more boost added.
380 is childs play on std CR, no need to lower for this at all.
