hi all im building a 2.0 zetec lump to go in my quantum {xr2} but now im at a hard decision i have a set of bike carbs i was planning on using with a primetive esc system to get it running ...but i also was going megajolt when i had the money ...now ive landed on some 600cc bike tbs and im thinking of that. I suppose my question is will the 600cc bike tbs be big enough for a 2.0 zetec and how my extra work would be involved thanks for any ideas ..

 

tbh all the people i know have used 1000 cc+ bike carbs t.b,s i dont know but i was told not to go any smaller

 

mm thinking of sticking with the carbs but im sure theres much more scope for power gains with tbs im just unsure what to do

 

the noise of tbs is unreal

 

i know my mate had a gsi red top with tbs on it was the mutts nuts i loooove the noise but is the effort alot more and very costly can decide want tbs but dont want to be broke thats why i was going to try megasquirt and bike tbs..

 

Tb's for a CAR engine will give the best, like jenvey etc, though you can get tb's from around Ł250 new for a twin tb, so x2.

yeh then what sort of managment would i need the only reason i thought of bike tbs was they are cheap and ive already got some here. that was why i thought of them its probably better to go down the proper route like you say.. im just on a tight budget at the mo in as my subaru is sucking the life out of me too.
